Wine Competition in Montecarlo awards our Valdobbiadene Superiore D.O.C.G. among the Champagne and all European sparkling wines.
The 24th edition of Monte-Carlo Gastronomie was held in the wonderful location of the Chapiteau de l’Espace Fontvieille, usually hosting Le Festival International du Cirque de Monte-Carlo, from 29th November to 2nd December 2019, in the Principality of Monaco on the French Riviera. A French, Italian and European Gastronomy Fair proposed an irresistible journey through the pleasures of the table, discovering authentic flavours, typicality, specialities and renowned wines. An event in which rigorously selected exhibitors presented and let visitors taste their high quality products, for a unique event in its elegance and refinement at the table.
Numerous Show-Cooking events held by the best Monegasque and Côte d’Azur chefs, the Second Edition of the Master Chef Competition and prestigious gastronomic competitions took place during the event, allowing enthusiasts to discover the culinary art.
In addition to these, the Oenological Competition for European wines and spirits at the Fair was held by Dominique Milardi, President of the Monegasque Sommelier Association. Among all Champagnes and European wines, a jury composed of journalists, publishers and professional sommelier tasted, appreciated and selected, our Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore D. O. C. G. Extra Dry, which was awarded with the:

A Valdobbiadene Superiore D.O.C.G. produced entirely with selected Glera grapes from the hills of Valdobbiadene. Sparkling wine of a straw yellow colour, brilliant, with a very fine and persistent perlage. Characterized by a delicate fruity scent, which is harmonious, soft and slightly aromatic on the palate. Suitable as an aperitif, with shellfish, delicate dishes and light sweets.
